A landscape of blue seas and golden sands await as you cycle through the streets of Adelaide, along the riverbank precinct, and follow the river trails to the beach. On arrival at Henley Beach enjoy a light morning tea and the ocean breeze.

Riding along the bike path taking in the coastal scenery you will arrive in Glenelg, one of Adelaide’s most popular beaches. It’s not hard to see why Glenelg is so popular with its extensive range of eateries, boutique shops and white sandy beach. Here you can enjoy a picnic lunch by the beach and free time to explore.

After lunch your bikes will be collected and you will be whisked away by bus to the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary. A short drive to Garden Island is where you will meet your kayak guide.

Paddling through the river and mangrove lined creeks, learn about the history and biodiversity of the Port Adelaide River while keeping an eye out for the local dolphin pod.

  • This tour includes approx. 20km bike ride – along mostly flat bike paths – Participants must be able to ride a bike unassisted
  • Participants must wear enclosed toe shoes, and clothing that is suitable for riding and kayaking. We recommend wearing sun-safe clothing, sunscreen, a sun hat and sunglasses
  • We recommend bringing a lightweight towel, a camera for taking photos, a full drink bottle and a small backpack for personal items.
  • The kayak tour is approx 90mins – we do this in stable, double kayaks: no kayak experience necessary
